New hack? O-o

I think there is a melee hack. e.x. the hack lets someone use a shovel but they don't need it, instead they use a knife.

I don't know if it's a real hack, I thought I saw someone with a knife and heard the shovel sound when they killed me (rlly far away, like a shovel would, not lag either) so is this real?
