M4 tips?

before you shoot, stand still so your crosshair is small, then fire 2-3 shots, 2 shots at long range (like on black widow when rushin A) on close range, just spray, its easy to handle anyway, try blue crosshair, type 3, that helped me

Burst, don't spray.

5 shot burst while standing still will always go in the same spot. I recommend to focus on standing still and taking out the opponent instead of strafing around like an idiot.

It's very easy to control the spray, however. So it's really up to you.

only shoot at the end of your strafe (switching from left to right) thats when your crosshair is back to normal

Crouching will only work if the enemy hasn't seen you...

at close range just jump around and try to spray so that ur crosshair is by the chest of ur enemy, u get hs like that.
from far away.. burst shots, i like to aim for the head because of the accuracy.
mid range is like close range just aim a little lower and move side to side and evade their shots

I've been using the M4A1 ever since i started playing this game (open beta).

Long range: Short single shots or 2-3 bursts. Aim at head if your single clicking, If your bursting aim upper chest/neck

Medium Range: Spray/Burst. I feel bad for people who single click or busrt 2's at medium range with an m4 or ak. If you cannot shoot a controlled 15 bullets out of your gun medium range, you shouldnt use it.

Close range: All spray

Standing still/strafing: Anybody who says "standing still is stupid" is wrong. There are situation where standing still is THE best option. For example in black widow your GR and you push out b and go all the way through there spawn and get a flank on the entire bl team pushing long and taking A PLAT. In that situation i would get a good angle stand still and kill my first enemy. If the BL team still has bad angles and are unsure ill still be popping shots out of a steady position, Once i'm being fired at i will move to my standard strafing.

Crouching: Never crouch in a long range battle, however medium and close range a quick crouch will/can get your enemy down. If your spraying at an enemy close range there crosshair will most probably be chest/head height, if you hold crouch long enough to go down shoot 3-5 bullets and get back up you will do a fair amount of damage while saving your chest a couple bullets.

just..just dont spray too much.
