they also hack because usually aren't good in this game and they think that using cheat they look "pro" or they will improve their skills... wrong!

another reason: they like to humiliate real good players... and because they are not good to do in a fair game, they cheat

another reason: it is also fun (for them) to see the rest of players from that room being nervous or quitting, or saying bad words...

Because there parents failed to teach them basic morals.

Because they lack the aim to have fun themselves.

Low pings really mean nothing vs high ping, sure we see you sooner but its like 1.5 secs sooner. I've dead to many times to high pingers behind walls its not funne.

I've been playing online FPS for about 10 years now and I think I've got it figured out finally...

First, pretty much EVERY hacker is between the ages of like 12 and 16. Not all hacking is really malicious. The problem really is the people who join clans, hack, and try real hard to act 'pro'. It's really bad when they, say, play 3 or four seasons on a league, kicking ass, before they're finally caught.

I think it's really a psychological thrill for some people whose only 'good thing' in their life is 'being pro' at a videogame. Imagine for instance someone who is wheelchair bound or just a lame person IRL, and they find satisfaction in being better than someone at something. This is worst type of cheater.

I could understand how someone would cheat based on the 'curiosity' factor, however I wouldn't be comfortable enough with it to want them on my team. In CSS we have a server variable called "sv_cheats" and we can simply turn on wireframe for a basic wallhack. That's fun to experiment with. Since it doesn't involve downloading a hack, and it's built into the game, I see that as acceptable because it's the server that can do it.

Ok Hakers are just dirt bags! When we can fix this it will go away. But so far gentic engineering to this level is illegal.

On the minor note.

At first I thought the low pinger guy was kidding about high pingers having the advantage. Really no one can percieve this as truth. I've played this game and many others, and I have experienced both as a low pinger and as a high pinger. low pinger is GOD!

Interaction with a game is really a factor of your PC to the server. How you see things is based on ping and your FPS. The lower the ping the quicker your able to see and react to anything. A ping of 10 sees things as close to real time as possible while a 150 ping sees everything delayed. I mean EVERYTHING! Even as a low pinger trying to Pwn a High pinger who is warping your seeing him as the server sees him. So your shots will register if your shooting at the spot you see him at that moment. While the High pinger is shooting at a spot where he saw you a few instances before. Your not there anymore therefore you recieve no damage. I shouldnt give this advice but hey If you have read this far in to this then you deserve it. Want to beat a high pinger easier? Dont go straight! We rely on you not veering side to side. By going straight you help us maintain a stream of fire to where you will be.

I'm usually a 155 pinger. At 200 I go from a 1.0 KD ratio to about .60 and at 300 I go to about .30 KD ratio. I'm the same player and I have the same skills fighting the same guys daily.

155 ping 1.0 KD ratio
200 Ping .60 KD ratio
300 Ping .30 KD ratio

Not rocket science!
