sound settings for GM

just to let you know i have a HP laptop with a IDT High Definition Audio CODEC and it runs vista. if you have the same with good GM settings let me know.

cant remember which it was but a mod said you could mess with your sound card so the sounds other than breathing wont be as loud.

I don't believe that playing with your sound card will help you change in game sounds. The games sounds are also locked away and are unable to be changed.

Using headphones of any type is the first thing you can do, my headset was a 10 dollar cheapo and I can still pinpoint ghosts ridiculously well, and identify gun changes ect in SD matches.

Of course turning your volume up will help, but the other noise could hurt your ears. I recommend using quieter guns for GM. I use my M4-Custom for ghost mode because even if I'm shooting i can still hear quite well.. something like an AK is harder to use for ghost because its so loud its hard to hear anything over it when shooting.

well so far ive gotten rid of most of the bass...so nades are that bad and neither are any of the larger calliber weapons. but i cant really find out how to tone down the high pitched sounds. OH and sumthing im proud of. i got mostly rid of the annoying "FLASH GRENADE!!!!!!" OR "THROWING GRENADE!!!!!!!!!!!!!" which i always find very annoying.

Well, really.

All you need is good headphones, turn off radio messeges, (I mean, you could read them.) and turn the volume high. Though not too high. For me, all I really need to hear is footsteps and a bit of breathing( I don't hear from far, maybe like, 4-5 away)
