Crossfire Launcher Announcement
I was just thinking, when I started up crossfire about 2 minutes ago and was looking at the launcher screen. There is a friendly reminder about keeping your account secure. Now, I know most skilled players get kicked a lot. (myself included) The problem lies with the community and the mentality that it seems to be ok to kick someone that's better than you under the excuse that they hack.
Now since the ones that do this probably don't visit the forums I was thinking, why not make a friendly note in the launcher asking players not to abuse the kick system. I haven't really thought about what exactly it should say but for the people that actually read those announcements (I know most people just click past it) it might slowly start to change the community mentality on the whole kick system.
I know there are some that just want it to be removed entirely but I personally think that it is a good thing. (when used the intended way i.e. kicking actual hackers) Though, as it is right now its a way to get rid of a player that's better than you.
Just a thought.

Hmm.. nice idea, but i dont think it will work.
It won't stop people from saying kick blah blah he hak f11 men.
True, and I wouldn't expect for an instantaneous result. It would merely be a small step in the right direction, so to speak. The main problem is changing the community mentality, that its ok to kick people that are better than them. To something like respecting the better players and possibly trying to learn from them. Or at the very least not kicking them just because they are better.
I'm personally hoping that with WOGL picking up crossfire and putting in a more competitive side to the game that there will be less kicking and more competition in PUB games. I really think having a note on the Start-up screen would help in the meantime. -

My Dog says this is a pointless thread, Cats(AKA noobs) will always kick Dogs(AKA pros).
Because deep down, cats believe that dogs hack. Because everybeast knows that your the best there is at CF, and any animal thats better is a hack.
If Your worse, your a cat.
If your good, your a dog and get kicked. -

These is one of those players who comes from some other game and say's he's pro, gets his rear shoved into the toilet water, cries about it, gets on the forum, and act's like he's cool again...>_>
I'm going to say this...just because a person SEEM pro does NOT mean he's not hacking...I bet their are a LARGE HANDFUL of gold/silver ranked players who hack because they never were reported/banned...just because a kid wants the lamer out doesn't make him a crybaby brat...(but people would chime on with the 'pro' tool and shun the "QQ'er" from the room until the realize that he WAS hacking on the first place...)
Oh, and who came up with this stupid "QQ" jargon? Some dude programming in his fathers basement I bet... -
