you should be glad we a have a coupon system for people like you who never win anything... you can stilll get the cool stuff. If it was random they would pop up MORE I see more NameTAgs then guns and deadeye I am saying that they made it HARDER to get it seems like EVERY day at 00:04 or 00:03 some 1 wins a gun (time) -
lol what my friend does is toss a coin. heads ull get the gun you want tails, ull fail. then he tosses the coin again heads ull get it in 10 crates, tails ull not get it.
after meeting all the requirements he buyz the crate. and it actually worked (i was there), im like wdf when he did it.
i gave it a try but sadly it never worked 4 me T_T -
Proof, If the crate's were random Why dont the Awm, Kriss, ect come in more? I get TONS of sprays but if the crate's WERE random then I would get the gun's that I want
Not to be annoying or anything but it clearly states in the BLACK MARKET help, that there is a higher probability of winning the less soughtafter items (sprays, items, nametags, coupons), and a much lower probability of winning the best ones (AWMadv,ANACONDAadv,M4A1custom......)

Unfortunately a lot of the people on the forums already have most if not all of the current crate guns.
In order to determine the actually mathematic probabilities for each crate item you would have to have the whole community video their opening crates to obtain where the spin was stopped, what time the spin was done at, what time the gun was won at, etc. There are a whole number of possible variables to determine what you win that would have to be slowly worked out based on prizes won each crate etc.
Of course I personally believe the second you click spin your winnings are predetermined by the server and you just have to follow through the motions to finish receiving what you already got.
Given enough data from people regarding time, crates opened, crates bought, when you clicked spin, when you received the actual prize, etc. I'm sure you could determine an approximate probability.
Of course there would need to be a database for each crate individually...seeing as there is no guarantee that they have the algorithm for determining prizes.
But it's just easier for everyone to whine and complain and QQ until they get the prize than to compile the necessary database for a project such as this. -

True it is hard. I only have the M4 custom (which I get from the cupons) but I would love to get my hands on a Kriss

A computer can not produce a truly random number. The only thing a computer can do is produce an *approximately* random number.
One common technique is to first add up all the numbers of the current system time,
for instance:
2009/19/12 09:35 --> 2+9+1+9+1+2+9+3+5 = 41 * sqrt(2) = ~57
or
2009/20/11 08:59 --> 2+9+2+1+1+8+5+9 = 37 * sqrt(2) = ~52
This is a pseudo-random number, but we can now say:
IF [our number] EQUALS [53] THEN [you win a kriss super v]
ELSE [you get a spray item]
of course, crossfires implementation might be completely different. but this should help you understand why you arent winning.
Just buy more crates, and at some point you might get your kriss. Or maybe you will never get one. This is called random.
thanks man, that helped..

Yes I NEVER win Thats why I have ALL the GP crate guns and ZP crate(except the holiday) yep I dont win ANYTHING -
this maybe coincidence, but when I'm playing with a crate gun I notice it gets won alot. Like I was playing with my Tommy and right after I killed a few people with it 2 people at the same time won it! Same with m4-c, ak camo, ak scope, rpk gold... so I think if the gun is being used in a game maybe it has a better chance of sending the packets to win it if someone is spinning crates at the same time.
if you have any friends with the gun you are trying to win, tell them to go play in a game and kill people with it then you go try spinning the crates for it. I'm serious, it might be coincidence, but I seem to notice it happens way too often. -
Random
Crates are pretty random. There's like a 1% chance you will win in whatever formula they are using.
It has taken me sometimes more crates then i would care to say to win some weapons, but some highlights:
Ak-47 Halloween, one crate. Brought on a whim.
RPK gold, brought crates one by one. First crate saw it, missed it. Brought another, same. (Each time it was one off from being in my prizes, not on the far sides.) Third crates i won it.
MSG-90, i won it in like 5 crates.
Some things have taken over 100 crates or more. -
M4 c 1 crate
2 Winchesters 20 crates
Diff acc Camo Deag 2 crates
Diff acc Anaconda 40 Crates
diff acc Kriss 2 crates
eat that.
Did u insta' spin or..?
Anyways congrats. I tried my luck with 70 de-c crates, nothing. One crate of each gp crate, nothing.
