Crate-Ology 101
Ok I'm not that sharp and it took me a while to get to a good understanding of crates.
ZP Crates. Bought with ZP only. they have the coolest weapons and gear
GP Crates. This can get you in trouble. Get into these before you buy a good weapon and you may be a SSGT 4 still using the m-16 and M700
All crates come with these things (All crates win 3 prizes per spin)
Grand Prize......Good Luck (Usually a sweet Perm weapon like the Kriss or M4A1 advanced)
Coupons.........These buy prizes, some Temporary some Perm. Collect them for huge prizes.
GP.................Anywhere from 100 to 100,000 I think. Ive never recieved more than 5000
Temp Weapons..This is a strong key to crate success.
Paint or name cards.....Junk in my opinion
ZP crates cost 1,000 zp per crate and GP crates cost 2,000 Per crate. You can buy bulk for a discount.
KEYS to success.
1. Use the TEMP weapons up. Destroy them. DO NOT REPAIR THEM. They do not degrade in performance until they actually say malfunctioned. on them. Until that point they are 100% accurate.
2. Temp weapons last for 7 days. after that they disappear. Unless you win it again. So if you break a weapon 2 days after you won it. It will be broke and in your inventory for 5 more days. Win it again and it will be BROKE and in your inventory an additional 7 days. So try not to spin a crate that holds that weapon if its already broke. WAIT.
3. Some of these temp weapons are worth 2,500GP to repair and some are worth more. I ve had several 10,000GP weapons. That means you do not pay repair cost on that amount. So for a 2,500 GP repairable weapon you would make about 3 to 4k accumilative.
4. If you just cant resist spining the wheel before you expire a weapon. Make sure its repaired before you spin. Who wants a Malfuntioning Scar light in their storage for 10 days. But too get the most bang for your buck wait until that broken weapn is gone.
5. the gp prize can be a great offset to the expense of purchasing the crate to begin with. But coupled with breaking the won weapons you might just come out ahead.
Anyone else have more to say. I know there are several experts on crates and I'm not one of them. So please guys expand on this.

People should stay away from GP crates as I think GP prizes are not worth it, I saved up enough GP to buy myself an AUG-regular. Before, I was wasting my GP and time trying to get a Camo once I got 2K GP. Then I relised that I just won't get it by trying my luck like that, so I managed to play a lot and get a regular one.

I have a malfunctioning scar l for 83 days.... type 89 70 days... scar heavy 35 days.
I am not waiting a month to get 10 more crates.
This is a guide for people who buy zp once every year or not at all. It's basically how to ration.
Exactly, If you dont need the GP and your just in it for the grand prize then go for it. But if you have some decent Permanent weapons and are trying to grow the GP, you can use the crate weapons to help with that.
Downfall, I have about 30 crates right now...Mostly GP crates and about 7 Kriss crates. If I get a Temp weapon from a crate I stop opening them until it expires. Then I open another one. Not as fun as just ripping them open to see if you got the golden ticket but more rewarding. Hello, I never win golden tickets so I need the grind to grow the GP.
I'm not going to spend my paycheck or steal my Mommies credit card to get the Kriss. I want it but I will probably never get it. So I focus on that Tommy gun. That I can probably do. Just keep growing the GP, Buying the Tommy crate (GP), Open just one at a time. Once I get it I will switch focus to the M-16s crates.
This is not a guide for the lucky (or wealthy) SOB's....You guys just go post in the hey look what I won thread. lol. Its for us unlucky (poor) SOB's.
Anymore tricks about crates?

This is Wise, But once you have that AUG you saved for. Buy 10 (Bulk) tommy crates 16K (I think). Open one at a time. You will collect the GP from the Spins and you will get a Temp weapon here and there. BREAK those temp weapons. Keep track of the GP earned in that 16K purchase. I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
Not to mention you will get to enjoy the opening of crates like everyone else. Who knows maybe you'll get that Tommy gun as well. -
Cool story Bro,
My brother plays CF with me. When he started playing the game he kept buying crates. He didnt know about breaking weapons so he kept repairing them until they expired. Soon he was broke and had an M16 and a M700....Thats it! He was a SSGT 3 and he would play Alaska or TDM inching that GP closer and Closer to that 2,0000 mark. As soon as He got it WoooHooo to the Black market.
*******SPIN******
Paint
Name Card
100 GP
Crahp!
Back to the grind!
He refuses to buy ZP so thats how he rolled. I bought him 20K zp for xmas. He has a scar now. This thread was inspired by him and I am just trying to spread the knowledge.
By the way he makes about 90K $ a year. So he can afford it. He just doesnt want to buy ZP.
There are others here more Savy than I so please chime in!

You are explaining how to break a weapon, Nothing to do with spinning crates. -

So contribute. I'm asking for input.
I called it crate_ology 101 so we can pass on the knowledge to newer players. I never really said exactly what this was about.
Breaking weapons is a main part of this technique. But really its not about HOW to hit the spin button. Its about WHEN.
Thanks for reading and posting though.
