are you really whining about that? if your not 12 or under grow up. i wish they would uplift the curse filter due to the fact its in my vocabulary and ??? showing up in words like 'but its' as bu??? and 'conspicuous' as con???uous is annoying as hell.

Yeah, I'm curious too. I wonder what the GMs consider to be 'profanity' in order to get banned. Is it like a whole line of profanity, a whole spam chat full of it or just one word lol.
Looking at the ban list I've never seen a permanently banned player for swearing etc. Anyone want to prove me wrong? -

that's one reason i don't.
i can deal with the normal (if that's the case) use of profanity, but most of these players make it bad enough with the stoopid name calling, some just push it too far.
and if you never set limits, people will take all you give.
then there are those who just can't wait to see a post and think "noob! i'll tell him the rules. even though i have nothing to do with management, i know everything." and do so.
like here.
most of the posts are "cool story bro" or anything else mundane they saw someone else say.
and i know; block chat.
but why? i'm trying to play an honest game.
not watch this kid spew some foul words at me.
if no one stands up now and tells some of these kids no, one day they'll say the wrong thing to someone in person and actually have to deal with the consequences.
ya know, the video the guy posted of "the online gamer" really says a lot.
it's funny, but all too true.
so, if you think it's ok to say anything you want to anyone you want, then you need to take a serious reality check.
no person with real power or respect does that.
and that's the real issue.

Get used to it.
One thing that always annoyed me about the anonymity of the internet is you have people that wouldn't say boo to a mouse in real life acting all tough online.
If they are swearing at you chances are you are owning them in-game so take satisfaction in that and ignore them. -

I understand what you're getting at. We all know the internet is serious business. We must Lrn2Enforce the rules or the internet will TURN INTO TOTAL ANARCHY. Amirite?
