Is a gaming mouse worth it?

I wondered, is a gaming mouse worth it?
I play on my laptop with a standard mouse and I was wondering if buying a gaming mouse would be a good Idea, my laptop aint a gaming laptop and I usually just play crossfire so yeah I don't know. My fps are low, usually 35, 15 or something when I'm smoked.

What's your opinion? get one or not?

A higher end machine might be a better choice, haven't a good amount of FPS helps improve gameplay. BUT having a good "gaming" mouse/maybe even just a good laser mouse does help in its own way too. After using a old Microsoft mouse for 4 years I tried out a G9 mouse, the difference was amazing.

I find anything with a laser is good for me. Wireless mouse would probs be better cos mine always falls on the floor

I have a desktop sized mouse for my lappy, lol. But yeah I agree, maybe I should get a decent gaming rig first.
Also, are there any advantages in a gaming keyboard? I was thinking about a razer mouse and keyboard.

About keyboards most of the keyboards have a 6 or 8 ms response time, the new razer kb have a 1ms response time, correct me if im wrong but that would be the same as lowering you ping by 7

Right now I'm not 100% sure, I've been playing with a Microsoft notebook mouse (small piece of sh**), I went to my friends house to try his gaming mouse and I suked.

Well my opinion is
YES it is worth it
BUT it will take getting used to. When I switched I couldn't aim had to practise highest mouse setting doing normal windows stuff, minimize, maximize whatever.
When I got the hang of that, aiming was a lot easier.

yes its worth it, dont spend too much tho, some of the bigger name brands are just that.... a Name brand...

I use an A4tech x7 xl750f 600-2500 dpi mouse, great ergonomics awesome performance, under 30$ and Its better than the Razers ive owned.

I agree, my mamba is... wow, i get the same feeling every time i see it. HIGH-CLASS MOUSE ALERT! The mamba is a little pricy, granted, but what you get for the money... wow. You will feel CRIPPLED if u go back to using wired mice. (granted you will have to use your mamba wired to charge while playing but charge every night and you'll be fiiine.)
