weapon blocking!!!!!!

Ive been thinking about this for a while. i think it would be neat if we could use our weapons to block a knife attack. this would be great specially in ghost mode. say your shooting and while you start to reload you see a ghost charge you. well before you reload push the F button (or whatever button that they choose to use) to block there strike and do whatever from there.

true...but then we could get it to where it would take even more damage then just wear and tear. and if they did it TOO long then they would have damage higher than the amount of GP they got for that game.

sounds fun, but it would only help in GM, seeing as how you can just shoot the knifers. and it would make the ghosts too easy to kill (easier than they already are)

how about this suggestion, just to add to yours:

when your out of bullets in your primary gun, and your rushing to reload, you can block a knife attack, it only works sometimes, and doesnt work if you have shots left.

this way, people cant block a ghost attack and shoot them, it would only be for emergencies only.

i guess this option could also be "unlocked" at a certain rank too...it wouldnt make it harder for a ghost bc when you block it could slow you down alot! and it would take a few seconds to regain speed. so its both an advantage and a disadvantage. i think it would be great. Im pretty good as both sides. i was just thinking of sumthing simple and new to the mode.

the people that wouldnt or dont like this idea are the ones that arnt very good GM players. to decent or good players this would sound like fun. i belive it would help the ghost...if they block and slow down there movement...good. and the fact that they chouldnt fire as soon as there done blocking would also help...so only skilled players could use this to there advantage.

back in the days, they tried that for counterstrike (i know i am old) . players could use a shield...ruined the gameplay.

and thats another thing. i can see how they did it to make it fair but why do the ghosts have to breath like they just got done running a marathon. if its about stealth why would they be so loud? Oh. and also in hand to hand combat(since this a military based FPS) when holding a knife in combat you dont hold it like you do in this game...when held it should be blade down. like when you do a power strike. thats how i was trained anyway. and a shield is VERY different then trying to block a knife attack with a weapon. but i can understand why alot of people wouldnt like it.

it wouldnt be made to where you could hold it all day and its cool. they would make it with a few small draw backs to make it fair and maybe to percentage of the attack could go through. or even make it a chance that it would even block in the first place. i know its not goin to happen i and the rest of the GM ghost players i play with thought this was a neat idea.
