Cf patcher not responding

recently a friend got a virus on my computer. Ever since getting rid of it my cf patcher wont work I just get an error saying it won't respond

error signature:

App Name: patcher_cf.exe
App Ver: 1.0.0.3
Mod Name: ntdll.dll
Mod Ver: 5.1.2600.5755
Offset: 0001b21a

any help on fixing this apprietiated.

did you try reinstalling CrossFire? and are you sure you removed the virus?

I've tryed reinstalling the game but it didn't help. I'm not sure if the virus is completly gone, my anti virus is horrible so I had to rely on malwarebytes to get rid of it but im not sure if theres still some files somewhere or how to find them.

when you removed crossfire did you delete the files completly because if a virus changed any of them the uninstaller wont remove them.

What he said, make sure to delete the crossfire related folders in your documents, program files, and run a registry cleaner. There are multiple free ones that are good.

That should fix your problem

I deleted all the folders and clean my registrys, re-installed and its still not responding. I was going through my comp today and alot of my less used programs are encountering the same problem. Could my ntdll.dll of got corrupted? Idk, but when I looked in my system 32 folder I had 2 of them >.>
