What consistent 1vs1 winning proves
Tested in an intellectual environment involving consistent 1vs1's with the same player over a period of 7 days.
- One player is better than the other on a certain map
- One player has a better strategic plan on a certain map
- One player has a better range of senses on a a certain map
- One player has a better response plan and prediction rating on said map.

Edit: The player with the better headset also has an advantage imo.
So long as each player has their volume up to where they can hear someone within a good amount of distance, it should be fair. -
Some maps just are not fair for 1v1.
Ship is just about spawn trapping. Columbia (no snipe/underground) is the best imo because its full health/ammo and open and closed areas.
Out smart and learn to play your opponent with grenades and you'll find you don't have to shoot much at all. -

you sign makes my day. -
Although what you said makes sense, I still believe 1v1 is pointless. In a 1v1, you do not have to worry about getting flanked and whatnot. Similarly, it's like saying drag races will determine the skill of a racer when in fact it just tests a limited range of attributes.

The main reason of a competitive 1vs1 is to see who can beat who. -
scrims prove who has better teamwork and at times who is the best individual player... 1vs1 only proves who is better individually. Since CF is a team game 1vs1 isn't good enough. most people value flanks/strats like mua
CF is not a team game nor is it an individual game. It's just a game.
Also, Envy pm me. -
In my opinion all TD maps can be used to 1v1. You cannot say one is "unfair". For example if ship is about spawn camping and that's the strat that BEATS you, and you cannot counter it simply means you are being out played because you can very simply use the same strategy. Columbia is more out in the open more than anything and is long range shooting. Whoever rushes for a close range shot will be killed. There are flaws to all maps for 1v1's but saying "spawn trap map sucks" is stupid.

i think 1v1s make no sence, i mean, two guys wandering around in a whole map, you could be killed from behind 40 times in a row or you could find the other guy looking away from you and all that stuff, thats why i dont 1v1 when ppl tell you "lets 1v1" they either wana sound bad, or are mad as hell

Sounds like someone get owned a lot on 1vs1. -
I personally do not enjoy 1v1's never had I don't have the patience, there's only four people I actually enjoyed 1v1'ing (deathstrke,Bruce,LucK,Ghandi) that's more because of their attitude towards it then anything else. 1v1's prove somethings but not much. I've 1v1'd Deathstrke sooo much that we basically both know what we do by now and it always ends up with us messing around.

This isn't some sort of set line of rules. They aren't two different games. One vs. one and team vs. team.
Typically, if you can outsmart one person you can do it to two. Suddenly a one vs. two comes down to two one vs. ones.
Being able to shoot/nade, camp and sneak/flank/ninja are all part of playing. Sure, as a team you win, but each team is made up of x number of different players and play styles.
That being said, most one vs. ones basically come down to 'RAWR! Go into open, shoot for head. Repeat!' Obviously not exactly like that. Some people are just really good at being alone and know how to predict what others are thinking. Malte and Bruce come to mind, BlindRob i've seen pretty much pre-fire one vs. one at people.
tl;dr Someone who constantly wins one vs. ones is a good player. -
Mmm, all those 1v1s I did make me a good player

Really, the most beneficial thing that I've walked away with is how to deal with pressure.
When playing columbia first to 5 rounds, and the opponent leads with 4 rounds to my 3, there is a lot of pressure there. One bullet can make the difference between win and lose.
Its stressful, but it translates well into clutch situations which is something I enjoy.
