When I purchased my computer, I got free Norton Security with the code purchased already and it's been helping me throughout my virus detects :]
I barely get it now so there's no point.
I don't know yet about the ZP virus because I haven't encountered it neither heard of it. -
I mean with all the virus going around, is it safe?
Ok listen the virus things when you download anything is not that bad
although i doubt that there's a virus at all.
(For the earn ZP Thingy)
Anyway the crossfire client doesn't have any viruses

Get a decent Anti Virus like Norton
the AV is sold in lots of famous stores. -
Buying is safe.
I would do the free stuff on a virtual pc to avoid trouble with viruses, or use some live dist (http://www.slax.org/)
Brilliant i like how you think
but some people dont know how to make a vertual pc so im making a tutorial soon. -
Here's the thing. As I understand it, this site has no pop-ups. This means, those pop-ups that some have seen are embedded in their PC somewhere. To remove these particular programs, they'd have to go into their root files to remove them specifically. Most people can't do that without damaging their operating system (Windows). I've seen these programs and plenty like them on numerous occassions, as I always end up fixing other people's computers for them -- but never my own. These programs are downloaded when you click an advertisement (maybe by accident), browse **** videos/pics, browse unnofficial anime and hentaii websites, shop from online stores that don't have secure networks (just about anything that isn't walmart, target, amazon, overstock, etc) due to lack of funding, downloading free programs, warez browsers, downloading anything from an unsecure website (like game hack programs, free DVDs, free TV series episodes, etc) or even just browsing.
These programs can even be embedded into a JPG file. Did you know that? Most people don't. When you click to save a pic from a site that isn't secure, you could be saving what just loading a FALSE AVAST! ALERT or another program similar. They re-create what the window pop-up looks like.
ZP is still safe to buy. HOWEVER!, when you buy it, make sure that upon the page of receipt and completion, you close your browser. Then re-open it and return to the mall on your own. The page is not encrypted beyond the receipt and completion page.
I hope this has been helpful. -
Now, as to the free ZP things having viruses - most of those surveys don't even work and that's solely because a lot of survey companies don't make money doing surveys, they make money with advertisements and embedded programs that log your financial info the next time you make a purchase, or just log whatever info you enter and sell it to another company for pennies. Then once they've had a million people and sold the info for 3 cents per person, they've made $300,000.00. Pretty nice figure for never having a single survey, huh?
I hope this has been helpful. -
Also, I thought I'd add: Windows Defender is a free Microsoft-Windows-based firewall/anti-virus program. Anyone with Windows can load it. While some don't like it, I use it and have never had any problems. It's scheduled for 2 scans a day when I won't be on and keeps it all clean. Even defrags every morning for me.
