AC?

I'm just curious. This may have been posted before, and i did use the search button but it didn't tell me what i wanted to know....so...
During matches...where it shows the HP, well above it, it says AC. I want to know what AC is for and what it does?
so can somebody help me?

armor

armor sucks so don't get it. I had it for like 7 days or w/e it helps just a lil bit against knifers and smg bullets and nades. rifles/axes/shovels don't protect at all.

it stands for armor don't get it i just say its a complete waste of money.plus it takes like 1-3 more hits 2 kill u.
