A v B Farming
Without flaming, let's discuss the pros and cons of farming.
To be fair, no one need name certain other farmers that we all know (of).
I want to see if there's a "good" side to farming. I personally believe the bad outweighs the good, but maybe there's something I've missed.
The good side to farming (in my opinion)only seems to benefit fresh/new accounts to gain access to clan creation and/or guns. There's also the fact that people aren't as likely to think you hack.
The bad side to farming (in my opinion) is that it berates everyone who achieved their high ranks through game time, can easily confuse skills through time with skills through VIP hacks.
The confusion aside, I don't see any harm in farming.

I agree with this, but as far as harm goes, it's nullified.
I find it insulting that it's permitted, since I'm an Lt and I've never farmed.
However, it doesn't hurt me that someone does it because they have too much spare time. -
No, it doesn't "hurt" anybody. Neither does spamming or trolling, but we find that obnoxious and ban for it. Stealing from massive corporations is illegal, but doesn't really "hurt" anybody. Just because something doesn't hurt anybody doesn't mean it should be done.

Good to see Mods (Deadeye and Bruce) giving their personal opinions which are clearly against farming.... Hope this acts as a good influence on the community... -

cons:
1)Makes the ranking system completely useless but doesn't really matter
pros:
1)Faster to make an alt and rank it to meet the requirements for certain weapons/apply to clan
2)Faster rate of gp<--makes it unfair
3)No life rofl
4)can never tell if the kd is farmed or skilled even though it really doesn't matter. i always look at scrim specs of people before actually scrimming them.
5)Faster rate of clan points<--makes it unfair for people who care about clan rank lol

Reiterating a post that I made in other thread:
To all of those who say farming is ok since its not illegal, are you serious? Do we need someone else to make laws for us to judge what is right and wrong? Why don't we use just a tiny bit of our brain? The reason that Farming has not been made illegal YET by Z8games -They are currently busy with other things and also they are a bit undecided on whether they want to lose a major portion of their ZP revenue from the farmers. But that doesn't mean we as a community should ignore the problem.
To people who are saying hacking is worse than farming, of course it is. But hey farming is still BAD. Just because hacking is worse than farming does not give you the right to say that I don't mind farming since it is not the worst thing around. BAD is BAD.

i never farmed,i care about my score,i'm giving my best ingame to have a much higher k/d ratio,so i can keep track of how well i do ingame,all the stats that this game records them.
farming:really,is for noobs,you have 1.0 k/d ratio,or lower,do some farming,up to 1.5 lets say,then go in a normal room,get owned,very low score,k/d ratio drops again at 1.0 or under,do some farming again.. -
Goes along with the "no right way to do wrong" expression, eh?
I don't see any valid arguements so far that say farming is acceptable. I doubt I'll find one, but I was hoping someone would try.
I should note - this is not because I want a flaming thread. I like to see both sides of every argument. -

1) Makes both player & clan ranking system pointless. People who work hard for their ranks are belittled by the people who farm to even higher ranks.
2) People will look down upon the farmers, saying they have no skills and they can only kill motionless targets.

1) Fast and Easy ranking up to get lvl limited weapons and gear. (but then again... wheres the fun in that?) -

Highest ranked player non-farming is JDSCORPION,leader of Semper-Fi. I've known him for over 9 months and he hates hackers/glitchers and especially farmers. Everyone that does any of them is kicked straight away. About getting that rank:
-He owns powerplant,brilliant at rushing. gets scores 60-7 or more from a possible 100
-Been playing since Beta
-Has all exp ups i think
he's also a great guy,unlike other high ranks who are a**holes. -
