"Cannot remove basic weapons"

I have an axe and I've been trying to equip it for the last week now only to get
an error message saying that I "Cannot remove basic weapons".
Personally I just thought I'd wait hoping Z8 would fix this.
It's kind of bs when you pay for a weapon and then it just sits in your inventory
and expires because you cannot use it.



EDIT: Anyone else have this issue or have an idea how to resolve it?
