ok dude whatever you say go with your paragraphs somewhere elseyou don´t really understand. ok, again: personally, if id wouldn´t affect the progression of this game, i d have no problem at all. hell, just kill off that poor afk over and over and over again.
BUT this whole farming-thing has come to a point where it hinders really interesting ideas from being realized. and thats sad.
a thing you can get jealous of is skill for example. -

yeah obviously he doesn´t care what ppl think about him. you keep your kdr realistic...some public TDM´s here and there. but your free to do what ever you want, and no idiot like me can tell you what to do. but one little hint: if you dont want people to think your farm, your in the wrong clan anyways . no offense. -
the sad thing is that most ppl think all this clan does is farm, check out my post called: randomness. i posted it earlier today, and youll see my farm thereyeah obviously he doesn´t care what ppl think about him. you keep your kdr realistic...some public TDM´s here and there. but your free to do what ever you want, and no idiot like me can tell you what to do. but one little hint: if you dont want people to think your farm, your in the wrong clan anyways . no offense. -

I'm in a family clan so I dont recomend my clan. But hey Checkmate is a good clean clan. Good guys and they are trying to do it right.
A few others are good too like the small but very active BOV and a few others.
Adiga and that crew will always be a tarnished bunch.

Honor......Whats the purpose?
It doesnt make your aim any better and it doesnt degrade your GP earning potential. It doesnt make your experience climb nor does anyone care. So Why have it? I for one used to never quit a game in the middle because my precious honor was in jeapordy. But as time marched on I noticed that it had no bearing on anything. So now if I see a lop sided match of 3 on 8 I dutifully quit game and switch sides to balance the fight. And for this I'm not honorable? Bull!
That said I like the concept. Honor! yeah Honor! With Hackers, Accusers, glitchers and buggers a little honor sounds good. Why not use it. Let it lead the way. Make it a driving force in the game.
Imagine servers for only the honorable, weapons that are only unlocked for the heros. And a clan thats has a collective honor that actually ranks them number 1. Not some bipolar clan that has an alter ego clan that they use it to farm off of. alter egos that are the patsy so they can be the envy of all crossfire. what a load of crap it is eh?
Ok so whats the alternative?
Honor! make it the holy grail of all things crossfire. Place part of the power on the players. Give them the environment and the ability to grow or degrade the reputation of a player or clan.
theoretical senario:
Honor rankings of -50 to +100
All players start at 0
All players have one or more votes per week.
rule 1 votes regenerate once a week.
rule 2 votes can be for a negative or a positive
rule 3 you can not vote for a members of your own clan
rule 4 you can not vote for the same person more than 2 times monthly.
rule 5 get caught farming votes that IP is suspended for a week and -25 points assesed.
Blah, Blah, Blah,
Smiley to corporal 1 vote a week
Sargeant to Master Sargeant 2 votes a week
Leutenant to Captain 3 votes a week
Major to Colonel 4 votes a week
Generals 5 votes a week
Perks?
Gifted items weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc.
Clans are ranked by collective honor points of members.
Weapons usable by only players of certain honor levels.
special avatars for the diffrent levels of honor.
Blah Blah Blah
Punishments?
disbanding of any clan that falls below a certain level.
dingy colored avatars for players of ill repute.
actual degradation of performance.
Loss of ranks.
loss of voting priveledges.
Blah Blah Blah
Make the GM's active in rewarding and mediating honor courts. give them the power to heal or harm the honor of a person based on their percieved behaviour.
Heck your Z8 Games, you'll probably just find a way for the players to buy a higher honor. I like capatilism. It's what drives us all to achieve a greater state.
What say you? any better ideas?

tl;dr -
Using honor would be a great idea. that is after Z8 fixes the problem of getting a desertion because the application crashed, or server disconnected you, or if you want to change sides to even up the match.
The whole voting idea wouldn't work. People are more likely to vote against someone then they are to vote for someone, given the current level of paranoia regarding hacking it would only go downhill.
Although I love the idea of using honor for more then just taking up space on your profile. Just about every culture has some form of code of honor, why should crossfire be any different. -
I agree I still dutifully groom my honor take great care not to kill my team and stay with a sinking ship til the bitter end. I am proud of my honor and it may not affect the game but when I look at another soldiers profile it means something to me. I would love for it to have a good effect on the playing but not sure how you would implement such a thing amongst a juevenile community.
