my antivirus caught it every time.
avast, btw.I HAVE TRIED NEARLY EVERYTHING TO FIX THIS. I HAVE SPOKEN TO An I.T. major with 10 years of training. THE ONLY RECOVER is to reformat my computer.
you need to fire this guy and cancel your check.
he lies, or is stoopid.
i cleaned this virus off several co-workers PC's with one simple tool.
linux.
here's how even you can do it:
i made a linux livecd.
booted from it.
then while running linux, browsed through the files that needed to be deleted, and deleted
them.
restarted in windows.
continued until the problem was gone.
if the above helped you in any way, make checks payable to ...... -

- Download Hirens BootCD

It would have wiped out the infection and restored the computer to normal.
I support Hirens and Mini. I've never used Malwarebytes. Any good? -
Malwarebytes is as effective as Combofix in stopping even rootkits. Sometimes you may need to run RKILL if you are running it on an infected machine to kill the active processes. When booting into mini xp it doesnt matter, since nothing from the actual system registry gets loaded.

Might be a long shot, but.. if you go buy a Linux Magazine (comes with a CD), with something like Mandiva... you could probably run exe files from there, then access all the windows side of your HD since Linux is capable of running from CD (if slowly). From there, you could download Wine and then download one of the programs GreyCloak suggested. The magazine (with CD) is usually 15-20 dollars here in Alaska.. considerably cheaper. Keep in mind, I don't know if this will work, let alone if you'll be able to access the partition made available to Windows files, but I think you will be able to unless you have Windows 7 or Vista. XP should be fine. ... No promises, don't blame me if you try it and it fails hardcore. Don't partition Windows away, run from CD.

I haven't ran that game and my pc was cool i ran it today and it got fudged.
I guess he did it.
My guess -i say guess cuz it's the only possible explanation yet i didn't prove it tho i saw a vid distributed by a hacker bragging about it- is someone actually managed to hack xtrap then backdoor it so now it downloads his stuff and runs it.
I fixed it the old school way.
MalwareBytes and hijackthis (changed the name cuz it didn't let me run it for long time ;P) then restarted and it's gone.
MalwareBytes

Remember to change the actual file names before running the scan
I ran it "C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.exe" the malware/rootkit killed/closed it.
My malwarebytes scan result before removal.
