Z8 Site Malware Infection Problems
Quit shutting down my threads saying I need to run this and that and im an idiot for clicking on the program..
I USE FIREFOX. I HAVE AVG. I HAVE LAVASOFT.
I log in to YOUR website with assurance of being protected by outside programs (trojan, spyware, etc.)
I attempt to shut down this program but it still forces its way into my computer! IT RUINED MY 800$ ACER LAPTOP.
I HAVE TRIED NEARLY EVERYTHING TO FIX THIS. I HAVE SPOKEN TO An I.T. major with 10 years of training. THE ONLY RECOVER is to reformat my computer. This is so sad. I honestly do not want to quit this game.. I have strong hopes for this company!
Other players have been attacked by this virus and have recovered. I HAVE NOT! My parents want to take this to the next level and want to sue you guys because of this. I should NOT be afraid of my computer safety because of a breech in these forums.
Please.. I just want some help on this. Someone to give a damn. I have enough stress on my life already i do not need more.
Ps: My main account ((STYX)) has not been unbanned. The necropost infraction should have been lifted on 12/28/09 4:00PM but has been changed to never with no reason titled.
Z8 I can change. I know what I have done. I have read the rules. Give me a final chance to get myself together on these forums. I don't want to leave just yet.

dude its not their fault that you got infected,you think that all of the sudden they will just start sending viruses to everyone for fun? greycloak said it is an add on the site and it has nothing to do with anyone unless you click on it, i wish you the best, but its not z8's fault... hope you get your account back

The website would say I need to run a virus scan of my computer and would begin "scanning" on it's own before I even press anything.

But a reformat of your pc will only take a few hrs and then good as new problem solved..
spyware and virus suck so i feel your pain..
The owner of that laptop is his own boss. He has all his work files on there. And to have it reformatted to a blank laptop is something he does not want to deal with

If I am clicking something on THEIR website that links me somewhere completely different from the forums and harmful damage is done. then yes. it is their fault.
I put in my information to this website trusting it will be safe and secure from outside programs. -
I will say this one more time....the malware did NOT originate from the Z8Games servers. If anyone is to be sued it would be the advertiser that is responsible. I have also stated that the admins have been made aware of this problem. If you persist in opening new threads about this I have no problem with banning this account as well.
Now, with that having been said....if you have access to another computer then download a copy of Combofix. Place the file on your desktop, temporarily disable your antivirus (as it will interfere with Combofix) and let it do a complete scan. I have resurrected systems that had over 1000 viruses on them using this tool. Most antivirus programs will not effectively detect malware that uses Ring 0 hooks...Combofix excels at this. After the combofix scan has complete, do a full scan with Malwarebytes Antimalware to remove any traces that combofix may have missed.
As far as your account problem, you will need to speak to [GM]Saidin. The mods do not have the ability to reverse bans. -

Surely due to the volume of players you have on cf
Shutting down the forums until the issue has been resovled
Would be a smarter move than leaving people at risk from the virus

Abuse my powers? Re-opening a closed thread is against the forum rules. Now, I've given you a viable solution. If you don't care to take my advice then that's your problem, but don't try to stir up any drama here. You try to make it sound like Z8Games willfully and maliciously put malware on their site with the intent to harm people's computers. -
Well, It's not breeches in the forum, Your just being redirected by a form of Malware. I think reformating your computer is probably the best solution, You can back up programs/Files/Pictures, But just to be cautious because they could be infected also. I will say that z8games + 3rd party = Fail (Free zp, Free stuff etc)

Idk what else to say that I know how you feel!! I have gotten a virus from their Free zp surveys and had to reformat my computer also because it would always shutdown. -
If you are on another computer, download those programs and put them on a flash drive, then transfer them to the affected computer.

i'll explain u xD it's easy... restart ur computer..., open task manager as soon as the computer starts click on processes and wait for the virus to start, then find the virus exe and click on open file location and delete it xD and end the process. restart and i think it might solve the problemIf I can not access the internet because of this program then what am I to do?
