Scar H user, should I go for the Scar L?

Am about to be promoted to where I can buy the Scar L.

Am doing pretty good on Crossfire for an old guy, with about a 2:1 kill ratio. I'm one of those guys who likes to rush, do some damage, pull back+reload+repeat - before I die. People who hide suck.

Anyways, I know the Scar Heavy has a bad rep here due to what I've been reading, but at the time it was a 'good' purchase. Since owning it I've had my heart set on the Scar Light since pretty much starting this game.

Should I go ahead and buy it even though it's supposedly downgraded?

It's still good enough to buy. (I dont use it anymore) but if your a All time scar user,

Then i suggest buying this gun.

I bought the SCAR-H back in January or something, and I recently got the SCAR-L and it was well worth it. Faster reload, lighter, more accurate, and good damage.

Wow guys, I'm blown away by how good this gun really is.

The reload alone makes a huge difference, usually I reload after 'offing' 2-3 guys, but it took 3.5 seconds to change clips on the Scar Heavy leaving me very vulnerable in the meantime. About 1/2 my deaths were during reloads

After taking your advice and doing more reading - I did choose the Scar Light. I won't presume to tell anybody it's the best gun in the game, but if you're coming from the Scar heavy, it's a smooth and very positive transition.

I had managed to pick up a QBZ that was dropped during a round, it's a fine gun - but nothing special IMHO.

Am absolutely owning with this new gun with about a 3:1 ratio. There's a reason it's restricted till you advance enough.

i used both gun, i said i like scar l is the better, and you will probly do better with it.

It's hard to compare the SCAR Light and Heavy because they're really two different guns. The Heavy is kind of a mix between the AK and maybe the AUG while the Light is like a heavier version of the M4. The SCAR Light is definitely one of the best guns in the game, though.

Ak 47

When i read your playing style, i think an ak 47 would fit you. It's a rusher gun and has alot of power, just like the scar heavy. But I still think the scar light is better allround, buy it and you will not be dissapointed.

Scar L is a great rush gun, I always pick it up when I have the chance, next time I buy zp I'll be getting the scar light. But M4A1 is a great gun to.

ScarL is much better than ScarH....reload, accuracy etc.

its all in what suits you best man, i keep tryen to get my friend to switch to light but he says he likes heavy a lot better. personally, i dont think the guns stats matter a huge lot in this game, since everyone dies so fast anyway. changing guns for me is more for the fun of it

man i will tell u something, i play CF a while and have all of the guns in my storage, i played M4 custom cause i thought its thebest gun in game, well maybe IT IS! but, i switched to my old SCAR L which i played earlier, and i did like this

It's "downgrading" won't matter much to you, since you're being introduced to it after the update. But if you've been jonesing to have this gun since you started playing, go ahead. Aside from the AWM, I'd say it's the most used gun in competitive gameplay, and for good reason.

Well, it's way too late to go back - I wouldn't be able to buy a new gun after selling this one 'used'.

Noob-cannon, why call it that? It still takes some skill to use it properly. Not so much as the AK though. Have used the AK on some of the melee levels, and don't do so well with it. It's either a close quarters gun, or single shot after good aiming kind of gun. I find the ScarL is not a very powerful gun, you must aim for the head, or burst a few shots to the chest.

I've always done well with the ScarH, it's the reload times that got me killed. Alot can happen in this game in the 3.5 seconds it takes to swap clips.

Scar Light is definately a hell of a lot better than the Scar Heavy. Its one of the best guns in the game, but due to it being epicly overpowered, you will get criticism from the Scar L haters. (Like me)

Nickname= Skill Light.
