M16A2 + M203 - Read Whole Post Before Flaming

Now I understand that this will be flamed to ****house because of the M203 grenade launcher. However, let me explain the whole thing first, it won't take long:

The M16A2 + M203 is just that, a combination of an M16A2 assault rifle and an M203 40mm Grenade Launcher.

The M16A2 is a highly accurate and for it's time decently lightweight assault rifle, able to be fed by 30 round STANAG magazines of 5.56x45mm ammunition. It is selective fire, supporting a semi automatic and 3 round burst function only. The result is that the M16A2 is quite accurate and has fairly low recoil but it's lack of fully automatic fire and size means that it is quite impractical in close quarter operations, but fighting in deserts and fairly open terrain such as in Europe (late Cold War Era rifle) makes it quite formidable in the role it was designed for. The gun whilst being a significant improvement over the original M16 and M16A1 had a reputation for jamming at the most unfortunate of times however. This gun is used by armies worldwide and served as the primary American rifle from 1985 to 2007 when it was replaced by the new and improved M16A4 and soon to be replaced by the FN SCAR. It is still heavily used by the American military and is used by both sides in the Afghanistan War. The Taliban had some M16A2's from the Afghanistan War against the Soviet Union and were supplied by the Americans who they now use the guns again). The American nation regards this as the rifle that won the Cold War.

The M203 is a breech loading, single shot 40mm grenade launcher designed to replace the Vietnam Era M79 grenade launcher. The problem back then was that grenadiers carried their grenade launcher, but they needed another weapon besides a handgun for personal protection, as operating a grenade launcher leaves a shooter open. The original design was known as the XM148 however the design saw limited combat use in the Vietnam War when it was replaced in 1969 by the M203, a re adaptation of the design. Designed to be mounted under the barrel of a rifle, the grenade launcher was a huge success as it allowed a Grenadier to easily function as both Grenadier and rifleman and able to easily defend themselves. Since then it has been fitted to many weapons such as the M16A2, the TAR21 and the Steyr AUG A1. This grenade launcher is only single shot however and breech loaded, and is obsolete to an MGL (Multiple Grenade Launcher) and thus does have it's limits, most noticeably that when reloading and preparing the grenade launcher to fire that the grenadier is open and too a large extent unprotected.

So here's an in game analysis of how it would be:

The M16A2 has a 30 round magazine, good accuracy and low recoil. However, it does not have fully automatic fire and a low amount of power, meaning that this weapon is undesirable at close quarters fighting. Furthermore, the M203 at close range is dangerous to the shooter as it creates a high risk of self inflicted injury or death. However, the grenade launcher at medium range (it is limited by it's arced trajectory and fairly weak power for a grenade launcher) combined with a strategic burst from the rifle can be effective. At long range the grenade launcher is useless due to the arced trajectory and time to move through the air, but the rifle can still put up a fight but is inferior to weapons such as the Steyr AUG A1, SCAR Light and the K2 at longer ranges. The result is that you have a weapon truly effective at only medium range, useless at close quarters fighting and overshadowed at long range fighting. Also, to balance it out here's what I propose:

M16A2 damage should be the equivalent to the damage of the Steyr AUG A1.
M203 damage be weaker than the hand grenade.
M16A2 takes the same amount of time to reload as a regular M16A1.
M16A2 only has burst fire.
M203 takes at least 10 seconds to reload, and you should only have no more than 3 grenades.
Left click shoots a 3 round burst, right click shoots a rifle grenade.
You cannot shoot the rifle grenade whilst reloading the rifle. You cannot shoot an M16A2 burst whilst reloading the rifle grenade.
It's weight be similar to the SCAR Heavy considering that you have both a loaded fairly large rifle and a fully loaded grenade launcher sitting underneath.
Burst recoil be low.
M16A2 magazine has 30 rounds, enough to fire 3 bursts.
Bursts have a 1-2 second delay between firing. Therefore you fire 3 shots, then wait 1-2 seconds before you can fire another 3 shots.
Requires at least Staff Sergeant Level 2 to purchase, due to the effectiveness of the gun at medium range and the amount of skill required to use it (kind of like the AK47).
Requires at least 47000GP to purchase, maybe 48000GP to give it the same price as the G36K.

Here's a picture of the weapon:

I apologize for the very long post, but I am very passionate that a grenade launcher should be implemented into Crossfire as well as an M16A2 rifle. This is how I think it could be done without being overpowered or nerfed to ****house whilst still being fairly realistic. What's the community think?
