Combat Axe Or Field Shovel

Get axe, I got shovel for 90 days and I'm dissapointed.

P.S You will get kicked less, it looks like using shovel is a good reason to get kicked.

Shovel. The reach is so much better. And it takes practice and skill to use it. Get shovel, you will love it.

Axe.


If you miss with the shovel you're dead. With the axe you can left click and do good damage.

Shovel. Left click is 1 hit if you can land. 2 second delay before hit, keep that in mind and you will be just fine.

Go with shovel if ur a gardener or go with axe if ur a woodcutter.....

Ok, my clan has migrated to pretty much doing nothing but GM/Knife fights.

MajinBuu, easily our best knifer by far, has been using the Field Shovel since just after it was released. He is absolutely nuts with the vanilla knife. His shovel is about to run out so he bought an axe about a week ago. That said, since he is so good with the knife, and the axe and knife function in very similar manners, he's told all of us to never bother with the shovel again.

I personally have used the Axe since its release. I love it. I will suggest it to anyone willing to pay for it.

Personally, I despise the shovel. It is a glitched weapon, whether that was intentionally done or not I do not know. The animations for the swing of the shovel and the actual act of it hitting a person are not synchronized. The shovel will swing, then about a half second later the person will actually get hit by it. It simply should not be that way, yet it continues to go unaddressed. This is a big reason why shovelers tend to get kicked frequently; people don't want to deal with the dev's unwillingness to fix a weapon that is so blatantly screwed up.

Both weapons take some practice to get good with. The shovel takes a little more than the axe, but the shovel is a slower weapon. It takes longer to reset for another swing and is therefore not the best choice if you find yourself outnumbered against competent knife fighters. The axe is much better at taking down crowds of people, especially if you get good at picking off head shots with it.

shovel is better... but hard to lern..... it ahs long range and take 100 hp whereever you hit on the body... the field shovel is very good

I have both the shovel/axe and and tbh, I prefer the axe. The shovel supposedly has more reach, but you're going to time it so you hit them when you're right on them, right? Not 3 feet away. I use my knife more then shovel or the axe, though, because it's a bit lighter, and does good damage with it's quick right clicks.

If you have decent ping, get the axe as the right click will always hit and own.
With some lag, and lower ping shovel will be more accurate believe it or not, due to the zoom factor.
For me though, I prefer axe on ghost mode, and knife regularly due to speed.

They're scared of the shovel's delay and don't
know when it lands most the time.

Axe has too small of a delay.
The right click swipes in like 2 seconds.

I, myself am i knifer, and would easily pick Axe, shovel is a great melee for ghost mode, so is axe, but axe is a bit faster and the problem with shovel is the delay time.

Many good knifers ([Bebe], *Knifers*, BaDqC, []QQ[]) wouldn't be so afraid of shovels, once you right click on it, it takes times to return to it's normal position).

So... go with axe.
