you are wrong to think that age does not matter .
As an adult I will always consider that factor to use proper words while talking to someone .
If a kid of 10/15 flame me I will only try to tell him not to talk like this and try to avoid a hard or rough reply.It`s the only way to tell him that he must respect others and others will do the same to him. Kids needs the adults guidance and not kick their ass if they make faults.
but you will wright to say "Hope to get to know you better " in case of talking to another adult.:)
