[Suggestion]Moderated Forum Signature Images...
This forum is as close to being drab as the dude from the Visine Clear Eye's commercials...
I really don't see why we can't have images that are under the speculation and scrutiny of the MODs whom can deem one inappropriate and warn the user about it...(or 3 day ban them for not changing it...)
All we get is text while the MODs waltz around with the same things that 99.5% of the forum users would have in THEIR sig's ANYWAY!

I doubt anyone would care about seeing a name with a mecha chibi on it...

That's actually against the rules.
Why? Because they don't want a 'higher site load'?
The only people who would be getting load problems are people connecting from far away places...I can see that. But than again...the MAIN site is WAY more Gfx intensive than the forum is now, and I bet people complain about that all the time.
Abuse is not an issue, seeing as the MODs are supposed to do that in the first place (It's in the job description...it's the same as banning people with inappropriate names in-game)...

This whole subject reminds me of that queen/princess in France way back when...the one who said "let them eat cake"...we deal with babies all day, hackers, flamers, chan-babies, and a handful of other people...we have to deal with all of that. But they can't let a person have a signature and moderate it?! It already takes them days to review a replay, it takes SECONDS to flip a "No siganture" switch on the rule violator. -

Hey...I've been on forums in japan (I'm on the East Coast of the US)...FULL of images.
NO LAG, no slow load times...
I've been on FREE hosted forums (whom share the server's with THOUSANDS of other image intensive sites (free and upgraded)...
NO LAG, no slow load times...
If loading time is an issue, they should upgrade the web-server...not cut us to pieces.
They real reason why they don't have images is because when they came over from Suba they didn't want to change anything for their over-sea's players...and on top of that, they didn't want to be the judge and jury on someone's picture.
Still, ShadowKill figured out a way around it, yet his sig is not causing any problems (not talking about load time, I'm talking about how he managed to exploit something and not make it a spectacle...)

How can you presume to know why image signatures are restricted? When the game was host on Suba, forum members could not use an image signature until they had reached 31 karma. Eventually a similar system will be implemented here. Being argumentative about this isn't going to change anything. -

See, this is a suggestion thread...there is NOTHING here on this forum that is stopping signature except something about load time for a small group of people somewhere...they might as well take the forum and turn it into a Message board...because that's all it is at this point.
I'm done with the squabble...the forum can have it's babies, and the game can have it's hackers...I don't care anymore. The company is trying to do nothing but make money in the long run, so I bet the real reason why they won't enable image sig's is because it COST'S more to load the image (BANDWIDTH)...that's a weak reason if it's true...

If you can't accept the fact that you can't have an image signature, leave. It's your responsibility to abide by the rules here, no matter how stupid or arbitrary you think they are, or suffer the consequences. This is a privately owned forum. Your right to anything ends when the owners say it does. They've decided that only moderators and GMs are allowed to use image signatures, so that's the way it's going to be.
