CrossFire West Is Bleeding Players – Server Issues, Cheaters, and Disconnects Need Top Attention

I’m writing this post not out of hate, but out of deep frustration and genuine love for CrossFire.
I’ve been playing CrossFire since my childhood. This game is not just another FPS to me, it’s something I grew up with. Over the years, I’ve invested a significant amount of time and money into CrossFire because I truly believe in its potential and want to see it succeed. I also want my future kids to play it so yeah...That’s exactly why the current state of the game is so worrying.

Major Issues That Are Killing the Experience

1. Ranked Mode Is Overrun by Cheaters
Ranked is supposed to be the most competitive and fair environment in the game, yet it’s currently the opposite.
Obvious cheaters appear far too often
Wallhacks, aimbots, and suspicious behavior go unpunished for long periods
Legitimate players are discouraged from playing ranked at all
When players feel that skill no longer matters, they simply stop playing.

2. Extremely High and Unstable Ping
Even with a stable internet connection, many players experience:
Sudden ping spikes
Constant latency issues
Servers that feel inconsistent from match to match
This makes gunfights feel unfair and unresponsive, especially in competitive modes where milliseconds matter.

3. Random Disconnections and Client Errors
Nothing is more frustrating than being:
Randomly disconnected mid-match
Kicked due to client errors
Penalized or losing ranked points because of issues completely outside the player’s control
These problems make the game feel unreliable and unstable.
Why This Matters So Much
CrossFire West already has a smaller player base compared to the past. If these issues continue unchecked, the game risks losing even more loyal players players who genuinely want to support it, spend money on it, and keep it alive.
I don’t want CrossFire to die. Many of us don’t. We are here because we care.

What the Community Needs...

Stronger and faster anti-cheat action
More stable servers and better ping optimization
Immediate fixes for disconnections and client-side errors
Clear communication from the developers acknowledging these problems.

To end this *rant*

This post is not an attack it’s a wake-up call. CrossFire has survived for many years because of its passionate community. Please don’t ignore the voices of players who have been here since the beginning.
We want to keep playing.
We want to keep supporting the game.
But we need to see real action.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.

  • Apparently, they are preparing the game for closure, as they did with the Russian localization, and are gradually restricting access to different players in order to announce the complete closure of the game.

Nope, is not working like that, when a game close is announced with at least 30 days ahead and all purchases are disabled from that moment - so is not the actual case  .
Russian players are not restricted in any way from game side ( web or game server ) the problem may reside on other software or setting used by russian players for they daily things OR a restriction from russian ISP sadly :disappointed:.

  • @[MOD]ShadowRo.  Can the administrator allocate 1% of the profit and hire a person or more to patrol and block violators every day at rating matches? Have such situations been considered at all

Believe me, when Russian Crossfire was closing, everyone already understood that this was leading to the end, there were bad servers and a lot of cheaters, and a week later, information was released that the game would be closed in 3 months. However, this is just my opinion that Crossfire West will be closed in the next year or two, so let's not pay attention to it.
You can understand that the problem appeared after a specific update, and there were no changes on my PC since everything was fine and then it became bad. There were no changes on the PC, but 85% and host connect to server appeared.

    Game is unplayable anyway.
Maybe they will close it soon and they just collect some money before close it.

You should sent your suggestion directly to support - they are able to forward to proper persons OR departments.
( amin is a relative term, used especially in network infrastructure, where an admin should have absolute power ONLY over that infrastructure :) ... outside of that usually don't have any power , therefore your request is for other ppl responsable for game economics may have the power to take such decision but is not on GM / game admin  ).

    @88rvL
CFRU was a particular case - I think it was hastily closed for other reasons beyond their control, as thy did not set any migration agreement with any other cf version. Bun in normal conditions a game set to be closed follow the procedure as i already describe,  i saw this in many other online games i used to play in last 20 years and they where closed.

You defiantly nailed it on the head on everything u said that is the truth. because all of theses problems that us players since the older problems that are still their and never get fix. this is not the players fault. this is something that they can fix. but they don't want to put the time and effort on doing it. not to mention the problems that we already mention about the game freeze every 50s log in. the dc's from the game eider from rank or public. and the ultra unstable severs being lag. its already unplayable already. and how do us players explain in a support ticket to show that theses problems can be fix even if u send a support ticket of a actual problem. like a video support of the occurrence its happen that what this game needs. and this game company wont bother listen to the supports we give them about our issues with this game. that's why this game is dying more quicker. like spiting on more event crates instead of fixing the game real issues. and like nitrous95 said. I'm also a respected and generous player that support this game since 2010 of the 1.0 era CF. Now its 2026 and I'm assure that new updates are coming and bug fixes are being placed too. but at least try to fix the main issues that us players keep asking to fix it for a very long time. or end up keeping doing what you keep doing by doing more crate events. and end up losing more players that respect and care for the game. cause like other CF versions that close down. we could be next. take my word for it. look at CF Brazil community it shows that they actual listen to the community. CF West its time you make that move as well. if you intend to keep this game company running.
