Yes, ZM2 maps can give a random permanent item at the end, you can check all possible rewards on each ZM2 map before start -> click on "Reward List" button :
Shattered Station (normal or hard) -> STAR-Elite - character
Battleship (normal) -> SWAT-Camo - character & Lightning Rod - melee weapon
Shipyard (normal) -> Mech. Crab Claws - melee weapon

So M4 CQBR and L86 Dual Mag AP are not available without spending any ZP?
