Game doesnt launch after pressing play on launcher

Hello guys,
I have downloaded the game for first time and am facing an issue where when I press on play on the launcher; nth happens, even HGW window doesnt show up to load nor the game opens, I uninstalled the game and re-downloaded it; it did open but after I restarted my pc/turned it off; the issue comes back again, I need some solutions here.

Troubleshooting steps I've tried:
I deleted the contents of the folder crossfire in documents (except replay) (but I took a backup first ofc) it solves most of the game issues but this one didnt get resolved.
I tried rebooting my internet multiple times and same issue.
any suggestions?

    It might be your anti-virus or firewall that is causing this problem. I never had this issue with crossfire, but I have had it with other online-games in the past. you can check if that is the problem by simply shutting them down and try to start CF afterwards. If that is the case, you just have to put CF in your Exceptions list.

    I don't really know except the basic stuff, like fiddling with compatibility. For other problems you usually get some kind of error pop-up (like wrong version or something) or that the HGW starts, but gets stuck on one step. I haven't experienced it my self in this game and I don't think I have seen anyone in the forum with that problem.

    But as there isn't even a popup or the HGW window, i would guess the launcher doesn't work like it should.

    I would probably fiddle with compatibility and check so I started the game as administrator first.
    Then start checking if it looks like I am missing any files in the game folders.

    I thought so that's why I wrote a topic here for that bec it's first time I experienced sth like, however the game already gets run as admin every time. I really don't know what to do more and I don't know why any of the admins nor mods replied with any helpful suggestions:/ . Only you replied whom am really grateful to, thanks btw
