Why do knifes take so long to come out?

cause its for action of the game of course what fun would it be if you just boom there it is with out the flip action and of course you can pull a long sniper rifle with ease i do it all the time and real world just whip from behind my back and boom unload one right into my enemy's head simple as that

Its some sorta of realistic thing.
Its not fun to appear suddently a knife in your hand.
