Can't load metafile

when I try to download the game it says unable to load the metafile. please help? Thanks

    This type of downloader is based on DLM. When you want to download the installer (setup.exe) via CrossFire West Downloader, this one generates 5 ".bin" files. Those are the metadata. These are pieces, and the downloader checks them for integrity (among other benefits).

    CFWest downloader, through a script and the storage repository format, generates the metadata (catalog and metafiles), where then uses a method to download the files.

    "Unable to load the metafile" error means you are having trouble downloading the files, possibly because you have ports blocked, or because you are behind a corporate firewall, or because you are using an older downloader, etc.

    Try the following:

    1. Delete the CrossFire West Downloader folder with the files. Try to download the CFWest Downloader to another location in Windows, and run it in admin mode (Run As Administrator).

    2. Try to disable the network adapter you are not using, such as Ethernet 2, Hamachi, and Tunngle. Hamachi used to produce issues in CFES.

    It may solve it with a VPN or a proxy. But its use is illegal in CFWest.

    For this reason, CFBR has implemented an option on the website where users can download the game in parts or from Google Drive.
