Gifting ZP, will the 50% bonus apply to the other account?

hey,

i am new in this game and i want to gift some zp to a friend, but i want to know if the 50% bonus will be applied to his account when i gift it to him

he already bought some zp this month (august), i didn´t buy any zp so far with my account

will he get the bonus on his account or not?
