Hi... settings are not saved from within the game such as user name and screen settings.

Please make sure your screen can handle that resolution, that you have CF running as admin, and that you actually have permissions on your PC for the game to change settings. If this all fails, I recommend a reinstall so that whatever has happened to the settings file can start fresh.

I did everything I asked and the same problem happened to me I do not know why.
