mcaffe fixed it (((no more trojan detected)))

i updated mcaffe today and it doesnt consider crossfire.exe a trojan any more

so now we can play without shuting down our real time protection

first of all restore the quaranteened item (crossfire.exe) by going to restore

>files

>click the crossfire.exe and press restore

then update !!!

after that u will be able to play normally ;0

also, were is the restore button after i have checked crossfire.exe?do i click send to mcafee?

4 the people who dont know u go to the advanced menu->restore->files then
click the crossfire.exe and at the bottom of the window u should see (restore)
click it then update !!!!!!!!

u will be able to run the game without problems

this is my macaffe

and you probably dont have one like it because mine is made 4 toshiba lol

so know search for the word restore or advanced menu

if u dont find it

post your macaffe window image and i'll tell u what to do

still considers in a virus
i have to ignore it every time -.-

i think u can add it to exceptions list or make it (always ignore) or something
and dont forget to update

Hi, my mcafee came up and showed me a alert box where was written that it was found : Artemis!24FA47E7558C trojan in Z8Games\CrossFire\XTrap\XTrapVa.dll !!!

Is that a wrong alert, too??? Or is it also a failer from mcafee?????

hi,, i did all the things you said
i restored them and updated
then i start CF and again he didn't start cause the trojan =S
and i can restore them again =S but i doesn't help =(

The 1 file!

How come only 1 filre cannot be restored, the name is XTRAPVA.DLL
no numbers just that, everytime i try to restore it it doesnt work, i thought CF might still start but it doesnt
