sorry tilte was to get attention but now i have a problem... till morning my game was working fine but now wen i start this game before log in it gives me n xtrap error n then computer quickly reeboots.....

now the only thing i did today was i downloaded counter strike n its steam validation fix ........................... n after playin for three hours wen i came to crossfire this happened now can any one help me out........please

What exactly is a Steam validation fix? If it's something illegal then I'm not surprised that it won't run for you.

i dont know mate wen i started game on counter strike it said """ steam validation fail"""' i googled it n found some links on youtube n did wat was on youtube ....downloaded the fix from one ccs forum n pasted in the game forum.................

ok now i have some serious problem ....i have deleted counter strike n crossfire reinstalled crossfire n it give me same message n it reeboots... even reboot is so quick i cant read wat it says .....

reformat ur computer....that'll fix ur problem, but before u do that bakup all ur files

Before you format, go through all your files in your program files and make sure all traces are deleted. Get CCleaner and use the registry cleaner to clean up the left over traces in your registry

I think that the "fix" was a virus.
