still no sound

After their update a few months back, crossfire was not able to load due to a file error. The fix was to download these two files and put them into the crossfire folder. Since then, there has not been any sound. It is not my device or my driver. It is set for the realtek sound as default. I am not going to uninstall crossfire again just so I can download and install a new broken crossfire and have to repeat putting in those files. Are there sound files someone wants to zip up for me so I can have sound again?
