Crossfire trojan?

My antivirus (Avira) Keeps picking up a trojan from CF's new patch.
False positive?
It's bugging the sht outta me.

Avira has big compatibility issues with CF. As do most free virus programs.

The problem is these programs just blanket scan without actually checking to see if its a virus or not.

It's a false positive. Running the scanner though might have changed files in the download, so you may have to redownload and/or reinstall the game now.

Make sure to disable avira while running the installation process and while patching the game.

As mentioned this is a false positive. There are no viruses within CF.

just simply switch your antivirus off while playing crossfire

hopefully major antivirus will register xtrap and it wont cause any problems

but thats just a guess

i play alot of Games and none ever had problems with my antivir programm.

CF has a compability-problem with avira and/or other free antivirus programms...so Cf should fix it !

saying ppl to shut of there antivirus programm is just unproffesional.

its a workaround

your not downloading anything or surfing the web while your playing crossfire are you... so why should turning it while you play be a problem

Help me trojan=bug

Hello I too have this problem when I download the update my antivirus (avira) warned me that there's now a trojan then he told me when I start the game like no miracle there is more but troajn this problem "file is changed: W [2007] l [2]

Thus during the update when avira said (repeatedly that there is a trojan) I should simply is unaware of it until the end of the update despite these repetitions avira window that warns me of a trojan and play then ?

just ignore the notifications and turn avira off while your playing crossfire

I Got Avira and it didn't tell me anything about a virus...

But maybe that is the cause of my delay in game...

I see no command to turn off the meter ....

In fact I feel that it is me then I'll m'enerve meter avast instead of avira

theres no risk as your not surfing the internet or downloading anything

just turn it back on when your done playing

tbh, on avira just select ignore and then select always do this action for this file box.

hes deactivated avira but the problem still persists

make sure theres nothing left of gameguard and try again

I get a thing from mcafee saying there was a trojan found, then it shows this: File has changed, W[2007] L[2]. crossfire.exe. Idk y this is happening, i love this game and payed real money for guns and stuff. i reinstalled the game and the same thing happens, what is going on, has anyone found a sollution to this???

Trojan

my antivirus Mcafee has also kicked CF for trojan today ,seems like the issue is simple. They are trying to infect our computers with spyware to steal personal infomation.
