Directional Microphones

How about a directional microphone? It's a ZP item you could buy and what it does is that it amplifies softer sounds such as breathing, footsteps and reloading allowing you to pick up noises from further away (kind of like the opposite of breath down). If the sound is real close, you could even pick up on stuff such as heartbeats and radio chatter. However, it cannot pick up high frequency noises such as gunfire (thus a lot of the gunfire is cut out and unable to be heard), the whizzing of bullets passing (though you can hear impact) and explosions. Thus these noises are unchanged or perhaps slightly harder to hear. I believe it would be a nice addition to Ghost Mode and Search & Destroy matches in which sound is vital to the gameplay.
