pressing E key doen't work in ZM and MM

hi, my keyboard work properly, but when in ZM, it says press E to reload all weapons, I pressed E and it doesn't reload. I used up all my ammo and press E at the green ammo satation , it just won't work. also, in Hero mode, I pressed E near a dead mutant to absorb, it doesn't work neither. I reinstalled CF and pressing E key still doens't work in ZM and MM. what is the problem.
I installed the crossfire game on another laptop, E key still don't work in Game.

I am in nyc, on NA server. laptop lenovo thinkpad . intel i7, 8 GB Ram. it is a new laptop.
on my another laptop, pressing E still doesn't work in ZM and Mutation mode.
what is the problem, please help
