I use to play on GTX 250 few years back - try this settings: on GPU driver option set VSync ON - you will have a stable 60 or 80 FPS (depend on your display vertical refresh) - then start game and set game rezolution to 1024x760 / full screen
Also check your antivirus/firewall settings, CF game location (or each CF .exe file) should be added to antivirus exception list ,
AND some antiviruses like bitdefender also have an extra option to protect personal folders like My Documents (and other location) - if you antivirus have this option you must allow CF game to have acces (else your game settings can't be saved, also can't save printscreen and gamesaves )
Other then that you can use a software like speedfan to look on your CPU/GPU temperatures - another cause may be a high GPU temp during game play - is very possible if you use to play on full HD rez ....
If the cause is a high temp - usually the GPU cooler need to be cleaned from dust ... BUT a thermal grease replacemend may be required also - this operation i won't recommend-it if you are unexperienced with PC hardware.
Yes sir, i have that latest drivers installed when it was released. Years ago. I've tried removibg and reinstalled the drivers but no luck. And i already done before putting the cf folder in the exception list. My gpu is running smooth in cf with 50degrees celcius fan at 100% with rivatuner no overclocking, just the fan control. I will try now your suggestion turning on the vsync the resolution, hope it works. If not, mybe its time to change my gpu. Im looking for used gtx480, 580 or 590. Which i can afford to buy if the problem is not resolve. I'll update soon as i tried the new setting. Thank you very much
