The game needs to be installed with administrator privileges due to some of the files needed for the anticheat system. Also, it's possible that your antivirus software is falsely identifying some of the installer files as threats. Try temporarily disabling your antivirus, installing the game, then adding the installation folder to your antivirus exception list.

If you are running windows xp pal, my advice would be to uninstall crossfire
#2 run a registry fix program so there is no trace of crossfire when you reinstall. If you have vista or windows 7 32 bit, just private message me and i will help you get crossfire going again! -

contact your antivirus manufacturer or look on their site for information about letting gameguard and crossfire through the firewall if your having problems
