cant run CF after patch

I cant run Crossfire after this 12/13/17 patch. All goes well until I try to start CF. It gives me an error message "detected file-changing,crossfire.exe. Thats where it stopped. I attempted several reloads/download and also got a message that a threat was detected called "IDP_ALEXA.51". My Avast software would not let that run at that point and the file had to be removed. Please help. Thanks

I re-downloaded the game client and re-installed with Avast virus protection turned off, and Malwarebytes turned off and it loads an runs at this moment.

Now the error message says - File is Changed: "W[2007]L[2] crossfire.exe".
Can anyone help? Greek to me.
