AVG 9 and lag issue

Hi i figured out that my avg 9 makes crossfire load slower and slower to open up. (My resident shield is disabled so i can play CF) In-game, idk y but i lag even more. I use gamebooster and i set all my settings to low besides blood and bullet trail and i dont have very strong graphics card but i got used to the really bad frame rates but idk if its the avg thats lagging me or the patch/servers.. plz help. i have defragged the game and my whole comp, disk cleaned etc..
