What is wrong with the game ?

Hi,
i started my CF and patcher runs,
after patch i get message : Crossfire .exe has been changed or rf016.rez has been changed .....
After each patch CF doesnt work .....
Please FIX it FAST !

You need to reinstall CrossFire since one or two files have been changed in your CrossFire folder.

When uninstalling, make sure you delete the CrossFire folder then reinstall.

When reinstalling, follow these steps:

Control Panel -> Z8Games -> CrossFire -> Uninstall CrossFire.
Open Up My Computer.
Delete the CF directory (Program Files/Z8Games/CrossFire/).
Delete the CF directory (/Document/CrossFire/) (Make sure you backup any screenshots or replays you may have before doing this).
Disable your anti virus.
Download the newest client from our downloads site.
Install the game from the new download.
Add the entire crossfire folder to your antivirus exceptions.
Re-enable realtime protection.
Start CrossFire as Admin.

Post your results back here.

Do you still get the same error message as before regarding about rf016.rez has been changed?

Still same message, some Tims is cf.exe some time is cshell.dll and at least IT is rf016.rez

Well, something must be changing your files. Maybe your anti-virus or firewall?

CF update today and it works ...
8 Years play the game and each patch makes it suck .....
u can close it error is fixed

Did you manage to fix it by reinstalling or are you going to wait for CrossFire to update?

wow NEED really 13 days to make same stuff again ?
Same error .... u should test ure Patches on a other server !
today a Event started and i have no chance ... THATS FAIR !!!!!!

Our patches are tested on another server, in fact. And nobody else is freaking out about this update. Please send a ticket for further assistance.
