Problem with the sound (Footsteps, breath and gun rounds)
Hi guys,
This is ankit here from india, i have recently installed crossfire but there is some problem with my sound thing. i am unable to hear the footsteps, the gunfire rounds and the breathe. Please help me out. I am positive about my sound card and my computer specifications. i am sure there must be some separate patch solution for this.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Ankit

When I had a problem similar to this, my audio endpoint builder service wasn't running. It might be worth checking services (Windows key + R > services.msc > Enter) for Audio Endpoint Builder. If it's not running, start the service, then try playing again.
It might also be worth updating your audio drivers. -

Hi, thank you for your time mate.
I found the panel you were talking about but i dont have "audio endpoint builder" anywhere. can you please help me out as what to enable. PS: i am using windows 8.1 -
Sorry I got the name slightly wrong - Microsoft Audio Endpoint Builder.
If it doesn't say "Running" in the status column, click on it and click "Start the service" in the top left.
If it does say "Running", click on it and try clicking "Restart the service" and see if that helps.
This is a solution to the problem I was having, so it might not necessarily work for you, but hopefully it will. -
