HELP! crossfire wont start

I don't know what's wrong, but when i start crossfire i get the popup in the beginning with the updates, i run as admin, and then the patcher loads, but after that, it takes easily 15-20minutes for the stupid crossfire loggin screen to load? WHY?

Is anyone else having this problem? I tried to uninstall and reinstall the game incase my version was possibly out of date but it hasn't been. What's wrong?
Please someone help.

Try turning off your antivirus. I had troublw with avg 9 and the latest avast because they both have web link scanners or something.

Put nod32 on and alls good. Maybe try avira for a free alternative.

I am having this issue now. I just came across it and havent given it the 15-20 minutes but I dont want to have to in the future. I run Windows 7 in 64 bit and have had problems with it closing due to Client MCF or something similar. I can end patcher.cf process and it will let me try again, all to no avail. Its not firewalls or an antivirus.

Well, I just shut down and rebooted in Vista 32 bit and had the same issue. My computer has 4+ Gigs of ram and enough processing power for a university.
