playing crossfire on windows 10 (need help please)

I have been playing crossfire for years, recently have taken some time from it but I recently got a new laptop, I downloaded crossfire and started it up, but every time I go to join a game I get stuck at 12% and it boots me out and says "error would you like to report". any idea whats going on and why I cant play on windows 10. thanks.

Try navigating to your CrossFire folder and then find crossfire.exe
Right click and go to properties -> Click the compatibility tab and then enable Compatibility Mode, Choose Windows 7, or try all the versions until you find one that works.

yea I have already done that, and yet still same thing happens I can be on the lobby but when I join a game I get booted out everytime at 12%

I would say try completely re-installing crossfire and if that doesn't help then update back here see below

Change your resolution. 12% is when the window resizes, so it could be that your game window is trying to expand larger that your current PC resolution allows.

Thanks for this now its working fine

only the high ping i need to fix.
