HGWC File has changed error

Dont know why im getting this error. i redownloaded the whole game even. it says "File is changed : W[2007]L[0] HGWC.exe
PLEASE HELPPP!!!

Have you tried adding it as an exception to your anti-virus/firewall? If not, try that then re-install.

i did add it as an exception. reinstalling it now. lets see what happens..

What are your pc specs like? Are you running any other programs at the same time?

just the media player. my pc specs are Ci5 3rd gen, 8gb ram and an nvida gtx 950

What version of windows are you using?

Normally the 'file is changed' error shows up due to just that - A file being changed after or during installation. Is your internet connected well to the servers? I mean, if you have a poor connection it might be dropping part of the file when installing.

Have you deleted the CrossFire Folder after you uninstalled?

I believe this is your solution here.

Windows 10 shouldn't be a problem. Can we see a screenshot of your processes when you try to run the game? If you're not comfortable with posting that here you can send a ticket with it instead.

Upload the image to a website such as Imgur. Copy the link and put it inbetween the [IMG][/IMG] tags. That should work.

Do you have a screenshot of your background proccess? You can view your backgorund proccess by bringing up the Task Manager.

Also did you try to run the game as Admin?

lol the issue is still not fixed for me.

Could you open your CF folder and scroll down to version and tell me your latest version.

edit: not the version.dat file just the version under it.
