Patcher is already running

so i start my cf normally as administrator and press play. after that nothing happens. i see that patcher_cf_exe is running and as i said it just stays running but nothing pop ups.(like the updater itself doesnt pop up) i have the crossfire folder in my windows defender exceptions also so that cant block the updater? any tips pls

What you need to do is to close CrossFire by Task Manager. Open up your Task Manager, end any process to do with CrossFire and then restart CrossFire as Admin.

That should do the trick!

so now the patcher pop ups but it just says downloading: and verifying: nothing happens afterwards the patcher is just open and it doesnt download anything

Did you try to restart your pc or delete CF amd redownload it?

It could be your anti-virus or firewall blocking the connection. Have you added CrossFire to your exception list on your anti-virus and firewall systems?

Also, you need to make sure your running CrossFire as Admin.

Have you tried opening CrossFire's ports?

You don't need to add X-Trap ports since CrossFire no longer uses X-Trap.
