In terms of versatility, Tommy is better IMHO. You can use it in just about every mode if you wanted. RPK I find useful only in HMX and ZM. I'm sure you could use RPK in other modes, but it's really loud and obnoxious 0.0

If you are really good at Mutation modes, get Thompsons because you can run faster with it compare to RPKs
