Help - Install issues.

hello, i've downloaded crossfire from this website.
And gotten to the .REZ files, then i get an error saying their corrupted.

So i did some research, found the download on another site.
And it installed perfectly. now i can't play the game
cause the client is old. and recommends me to upgrade.

Is there any reason why the downloads on the site
have corrupt data?

or if i was the only one having these issues.
Would appreciate any help. thank you-

Sometimes not all of the Mirrors on the website are up to date/and or having bad setup files ready for download. You can try to download it from the Alternative Download Mirrors or, when these dont work, from these Mirrors:

Ensure, that Crossfire.exe, gameguard.des and gameguard.mon files got full access through your firewall and turn your antivirus program off for the Installation.
If you got Windows Vista / Windows 7, run the Setup and Gamestart later as Administrator.
