if youve ever played cs, there is only one noob cannon: the auto shotty.Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. The M60 is the noob cannon so stop calling the Barret a noob cannon! D< -
The M107 (not the M82 that CF China has for your information) is far too large to be practical. The recoil would kill the shooter, the weight would make you a sitting target, it would be hard to aim with due to the sheer size, and the power makes it no different to the AWM which is already practically a 1 hit kill monster.

Technically, this weapon shouldn't be able to be used efficiently while moving. So walking with it would mean taking away 99% of its accuracy. Jump-shooting with it? Impossible! If Z8 wants to stay remotely true to the nature of this weapon, people should only be able to use it properly while standing still, knelt down, somewhere in the back of the map. But this would ruin the fun of using it in the currently small maps we have now, for you would be dead before you would get a chance to fire your second shot. -
LolliRoger wrote: »Agreed. Actually both the M82 and the M107 are impractical in C.Q.C., thus why I'm not in favour of it being introduced to Crossfire US. Not because I don't like the weapon, far from it, but because I like it too much to see it getting nerved the hell out of it or make using it look highly unrealistic. Both Barretts are made to be used stationed, not mobile. If its not placed firmly on the ground when fired, its recoil is enough to rip your arm off. And in CF, people will be running around with it and making jump-shots and what not. Realistically, this weapon should make you a sitting duck in C.Q.C., so translated to Crossfire US game play, this weapon would either be highly impractical, highly unrealistic, or worse yet, both.

Now how the hell do you spin and jump around with a gun that is 1448mm long and weighs 10 kg? You can't use it in Crossfire's close quarter game style, it's too large and impractical. And in that video he never shoots at the target constantly moving around. As much as I like the gun and there's no denying it's effectiveness in real life long range situations, but as Crossfire is close quarters combat it's just not going to work.

I mean what would it do that the barrett or the Awm couldn't? So I mean I'm sure it's great IRL (I wouldn't know) but really I don't think it has a place in this game.
Well in that case we don't need the scar, a.k, Famas etc cause we have M16 right? It's called having a variety of choices to choose from. -

No, because the M16 serves a different purpose to these guns. The M16 is a trainer gun, the FAMAS is a medium range weapon, the SCAR is an all purpose gun and the MP5 is a rusher's gun. It's called having a variety of choices to choose from BECAUSE they serve different purposes depending on our choice. -

Indeed you are correct my friend the term noob cannon derives its name from the Auto shoty in origianl CS.
It would seem that the name has infected all guns used by noobs, and that could include any gun. Seems redundant some how.
